So I have been doing really good with getting up early in the morning and running before work. I even called my sis at 7:30 on the way to work to ask her what she has done for the day...I was able to say that I've already ran 4 miles, and am on my way to work! (She used to do this to me when she was on top of her running, and I wasn't on top of mine). Nice eh? A couple of things running around the neighborhood reminds me of: If its in the evening, I can always smell dinner cooking. It reminds me of growing up and having to be home by 5:3o. It literally shoots me back to those days. It also reminds me of doing homework in the family room while my mom is cooking dinner, and NBC is on the television extra loud so she can hear it. Running around the neighborhood is also interesting because sometimes you can smell all of the different house smells. Some house smell like clean laundry, others smell like food, others smell like a dirty garbage. Just a few observations.
I didn't run around the neighborhood this morning like I should have. I didn't run tonight like I should have, thus, I should keep up with running in the mornings. Now I have to divy up my times for the week to make sure I get in the right mileage. Last week was a 13 miles week with a 5 mile long run. This week is a 15 mile week with a 6 mile long run. Fun stuff!
I actually get excited to run. Its weird.

Training thus far...
So far my training hasn't been up to par. I was sick with a cold last week and I don't feel like my mileage is where it should be. I'm excited for next week to start though because I am feeling really motivated and I am going to start running in the mornings! That way, I have no excuses besides pure lazyness on my part if I don't get out of bed.
I signed on with a marathon training group a couple months back and we just started meeting about three weeks ago. So far we only meet on Saturday mornings at 7:00 where we have a little seminar on some running subject and then run. I'm glad I signed up for this group because it holds me to my goal! (And the fact that it was a bit pricey, I have to get my money's worth)
I also just paid for the marathon itself. A whole whopping $97! What the heck people. By the way, the price goes up $15 dollars on Monday so make sure you sign up now.

I stole Karlee's idea and whipped up this blog. I want to use it as a way to track my training and to also share the thoughts that come to mind while I am running. I've always wanted to keep a running journal (sit down and write after my runs) because I always think and feel so many things while I run. So it starts.
